J&K BJP MLAs to Tour Districts, Take Public Issues to Assembly

JAMMU, September 6: The Jammu and Kashmir BJP has announced a district-wide public outreach programme under which its MLAs will tour various districts from September 7 to 20 to interact with people, assess their grievances and highlight what the party has described as failures of the NC-led government.

Led by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, BJP MLAs will undertake door-to-door interactions across all administrative districts. Sunil Sharma is scheduled to begin the outreach programme from Poonch on September 7.

BJP President Sat Sharma said the initiative would help strengthen the party’s connect with the people and provide a platform for residents to raise their concerns directly with party representatives.

Sunil Sharma said the grievances and issues gathered during the tour would be taken up in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, with the BJP seeking to hold the government accountable on matters concerning the public.

Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma also criticised the NC-led government, alleging that it had disappointed the people. He assured that BJP MLAs would raise public concerns before the appropriate forums.

The outreach programme is aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and ensuring that issues raised by people across Jammu and Kashmir are brought before the concerned authorities and the Assembly.
