Health Minister J.P. Nadda Reviews Progress of Najafgarh Rural Health Training Centre

New Delhi, September 1, 2026: Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda reviewed the progress of work at the Najafgarh Rural Health Training Centre and assessed the healthcare facilities and services being provided at the centre.

During the meeting, emphasis was laid on improving patient amenities, strengthening healthcare services, upgrading infrastructure, enhancing human resources and expanding digital health systems.

The centre is currently providing OPD and emergency services, along with treatment facilities for rabies and snakebite cases. It also has a diagnostic laboratory, ambulance services and a Jan Aushadhi Kendra.

The facility is also linked with PM-JAY and digital health records to improve access to healthcare and streamline patient services.

According to the information shared during the review, the centre handles around 47,000 OPD cases and 9,000 emergency cases every month, highlighting its significant role in providing healthcare services to the local population.

The Health Minister stressed the need to further strengthen the facility so that patients can receive accessible, quality and efficient healthcare services.
