Jammu, September 25, 2026: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, School Education Department, has issued Government Order No. 402-JK (Edu) of 2026, delegating Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) powers for nine headless institutions/offices until regular arrangements are made.

The DDO powers have been assigned to designated Principals/ZEOs for institutions in Samba, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch.

The delegation will facilitate drawing and disbursing of salaries, operation of authorised funds, and processing of permissible financial and treasury transactions.

The order clarifies that the delegated powers are strictly financial and DDO-related and do not confer administrative powers relating to appointment, posting, transfer, promotion or disciplinary matters.

The Government Order was issued by the School Education Department on September 25, 2026.
