Dr Jitendra Singh Calls for Greater Sensitivity Towards Employees and Their Families

New Delhi, September 5, 2026: Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr Jitendra Singh, has called for continuous efforts to make service rules more sensitive and responsive to the needs of government employees and their families.

The Minister welcomed the ‘CSS Shield’ initiative launched by the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) Forum, describing it as a meaningful step towards building a culture of collective support for families in times of need.

Dr Jitendra Singh said the ‘CSS Shield’ reflects the spirit of standing together with bereaved families and appreciated the initiative for extending financial assistance to the families of deceased CSS officers.

He emphasised that collective cooperation and compassion can help create a stronger institutional support system for employees and their families.

The ‘CSS Shield’ initiative is aimed at providing financial assistance to the bereaved families of CSS officers, particularly during difficult times.
