Doda Police Organises Career Counselling Programme at GDC Doda


Students Guided on Career Opportunities, Competitive Exams and Uniformed Services

Doda, September 12, 2026:
District Police Doda organised a career counselling programme at Government Degree College (GDC) Doda on Friday, aimed at guiding students about career opportunities, higher education, skill development and various avenues in uniformed services.

During the programme, DySP Tahzeeb Zehra Jawaid, KPS, representing District Police Doda, Major Dinesh Kumar of 10 RR, and Assistant Commandant Raj Pal of 33 Bn CRPF interacted with students and provided detailed guidance on recruitment opportunities, eligibility criteria, competitive examinations and career prospects.

The officers encouraged students to identify their strengths and interests, set clear career goals and remain focused, disciplined and consistent in their efforts. They stressed the importance of education, skill development, self-confidence, physical fitness and personality development in achieving success in today’s competitive environment.

Special emphasis was placed on career opportunities in the Police, Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Students were also encouraged to explore higher education and professional career options and make informed choices for their future.

An interactive question-and-answer session was also held, during which students raised queries regarding recruitment procedures, competitive examinations, career options and preparation strategies. The participating officers addressed their queries and provided practical guidance.

Dr. Javed Iqbal Zargar, Principal, GDC Doda, along with faculty members, staff and students, attended the programme and appreciated District Police Doda’s initiative to engage with the student community and provide meaningful career guidance and motivation.

District Police Doda reiterated its commitment to organising youth-oriented awareness, counselling and outreach programmes to empower young people with knowledge, confidence and guidance to make informed career choices and contribute positively to society and nation-building.

“Right Guidance, Brighter Future” remained the central message of the programme.
