SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 14: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) approved 24 self-employment cases during a meeting held at the DC Office Complex, Samba, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and sustainable employment opportunities for local youth.

The meeting was held under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan and was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Champa Devi.

District Officer, KVIB Samba, Vinod Kumar, briefed the committee about the scheme targets and applications received. The meeting was attended by the Lead District Manager, SBI, Cluster Heads and Regional Head of J&K Bank and J&K Grameen Bank, along with other concerned officers.

The committee scrutinized 32 applications and interacted directly with the applicants. Each proposal was assessed on the basis of technical feasibility, financial viability and its potential for sustainability in the local market.

Out of the 32 applications, 24 cases were approved for financial assistance, while 8 applicants remained absent.

Addressing the meeting, ADDC Champa Devi stressed the importance of timely financial assistance for the successful implementation of government-sponsored self-employment schemes. She directed the participating banks to remove procedural bottlenecks and adhere strictly to the prescribed timelines for sanctioning and disbursing loans to approved beneficiaries.

She also called for better coordination between implementing agencies and financial institutions so that eligible beneficiaries can receive timely support and establish their proposed enterprises at the earliest.
