Sumb, September 2: A Cyber Awareness Programme was organised at Modern Institute of Education (MIE), Sumb, to educate students about cybercrime, online fraud and safe use of digital platforms.
The programme was held under the presence of Chief Guest Sh. Balbir Kumar, ASI, Goran Choki, who interacted with the students and briefed them about various cyber threats, including phishing, fake links, OTP fraud, online scams, identity theft and fraudulent calls and messages.
More than 40 students actively participated in the awareness programme. The students were advised not to share OTPs, passwords, bank details or other personal information with unknown persons and to remain cautious while using social media, online banking and other digital services.
Principal Shri Narinder Singh appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of creating cyber awareness among students. He said that such programmes help young people understand online risks and adopt safe digital practices.
The programme concluded with an appeal to the students to remain vigilant, use digital platforms responsibly and spread awareness about cyber safety among their families and the community.
