Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today laid the foundation stone for developmental works at Kashmir Government Polytechnic, Srinagar, aimed at further strengthening technical education infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the event, the Chief Minister also e-inaugurated infrastructure upgrades worth ₹4.20 crore across Government Polytechnics in Kishtwar, Ramban, Kulgam and Kupwara.
The initiatives are focused on improving facilities and creating a better learning environment for students pursuing technical and vocational education.
The Chief Minister also felicitated students who secured overseas placements, appreciating their achievements and highlighting the importance of skill development in expanding employment opportunities for J&K’s youth.
The government reiterated its commitment to strengthening technical education, upgrading institutional infrastructure and creating meaningful employment opportunities for young people across Jammu and Kashmir.
