New Delhi, September 19, 2026: Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir attended the two-day high-level conference on “Financing India’s Journey towards Viksit Bharat”, organized by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in New Delhi. The conference concluded today.

The high-level conference brought together the Union Finance Minister, Chief Ministers, Finance Ministers, and leading experts in public finance to deliberate on strategies for strengthening India’s development and financial architecture.

During the conference, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of such platforms in shaping effective strategies for the long-term economic growth and development of the country and Jammu & Kashmir.

Particular emphasis was placed on key areas including developmental financing, agricultural marketing, and renewable energy, which have significant potential to contribute to sustainable economic growth and employment generation.

The Chief Minister noted that collaborative discussions among policymakers, finance experts and States and Union Territories can help evolve innovative approaches to financing development priorities and support the broader vision of Viksit Bharat.

The conference provided an important platform for sharing experiences, exploring new financing mechanisms and discussing strategies aimed at accelerating inclusive and sustainable development across the country.
