SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 12: Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhati, today inaugurated the 3rd National Lok Adalat of 2026 at the District Court Complex in Srinagar.
The National Lok Adalat was organized with the objective of providing litigants with an accessible, speedy and cost-effective mechanism for amicable resolution of disputes through mutual settlement and compromise.
The event was attended by judicial officers, members of the Bar, legal services authorities, advocates and other stakeholders.
The initiative aims to facilitate the expeditious disposal of cases while reducing the burden of prolonged litigation on courts and litigants. The National Lok Adalat provides an important platform for resolving disputes in a less formal and people-friendly manner, thereby strengthening access to justice.
