Samba, September 8: A certification ceremony was organised at Channi Fatwa Panchayat to mark the successful completion of a one-month training programme in Cutting and Tailoring under Mission Shakti Samba.

The programme was organised by SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW), Mission Shakti Samba, in collaboration with REACHA, with the objective of promoting skill development, economic empowerment and self-reliance among women.

The ceremony was attended by BDO Ramgarh Ms. Neha, Dr. Ruchi Thakur, District Mission Coordinator, Ms. Ritika Banotra, Gender Specialist, Ms. Isha Bali, State Project Head, Resource Person Mrs. Reena, along with more than 30 participants.

During the month-long training, participants received practical and hands-on knowledge of cutting, stitching and tailoring, enabling them to explore opportunities in self-employment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.

Certificates were distributed among the successful participants in recognition of their dedication, participation and successful completion of the training programme.

Speaking on the occasion, BDO Ramgarh Ms. Neha appreciated the efforts of SANKALP: HEW, Mission Shakti Samba and REACHA for equipping women with market-oriented skills and creating avenues for their economic empowerment. She highlighted that such initiatives help strengthen women's confidence, improve employability and encourage financial independence.

The participants expressed gratitude to the organisers and resource persons for providing valuable training and guidance. They said the skills acquired during the programme would help them undertake tailoring work independently and generate additional income.

The programme concluded with appreciation for all stakeholders involved in making the initiative successful, along with a commitment to continue promoting skill-development and livelihood-oriented programmes for women under Mission Shakti.
