NEW DELHI, Sept 1: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Shri Gyanesh Kumar, today met Her Excellency Ms. Marisa Gerards, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to India, in New Delhi.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening democratic cooperation, in line with the vision outlined at IICDEM 2026.

The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in the field of election management. Both sides also agreed to work closely towards strengthening the training and capacity-building of election staff.

The meeting underscored the importance of international cooperation and exchange of best practices in promoting effective and inclusive electoral processes.
