BJP Stages Massive Protest in Srinagar Against NC Government

BJP Stages Massive Protest in Srinagar Against NC Government
Srinagar, September 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a massive protest at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Wednesday against the National Conference (NC)-led government in Jammu and Kashmir, alleging poor governance, corruption, unfulfilled election promises and anti-people policies.

BJP leaders and workers raised concerns over high power tariffs, unemployment, alleged backdoor appointments and outsourcing of jobs. The protesters demanded greater transparency, accountability and merit-based employment opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

The BJP said the protest was aimed at highlighting what it described as the government's failure to fulfil promises made to the people during the elections.

Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders said the youth of J&K want employment based on merit and transparency rather than alleged backdoor arrangements. They also accused the NC government of failing to address issues affecting ordinary citizens.

The BJP reiterated that it would continue to raise public concerns and hold the NC government accountable over issues of governance, employment and development.

The protest comes amid heightened political activity in Srinagar, with the BJP intensifying its criticism of the NC-led administration over various public and governance-related issues.
