Shreya Singhal Appointed Festival Director for First International Film Festival of J&K

Srinagar, August 23, 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed Ms. Shreya Singhal, IAS (AGMUT:2020), Director Information, J&K, as the Festival Director for the 1st International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026.

As per Government Order No. 1434-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated August 21, 2026, the festival will be organised from September 7 to 10, 2026, across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The main venue will be the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, with side events scheduled at Gulmarg.

The Festival Director has been entrusted with overall coordination and facilitation of the festival and will work closely with government departments, agencies, divisional administrations and other stakeholders to ensure its smooth and successful conduct.

The officer will also coordinate with the Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu and designated nodal officers of concerned departments. She will keep the Administrative Department informed about preparations, inter-departmental coordination and issues requiring intervention.

The government has directed all concerned departments, agencies and nodal officers to extend necessary cooperation and support for timely completion of festival-related arrangements.

The order was issued by the General Administration Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, on August 21, 2026.
