Kulgam, August 22, 2026: Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo today inaugurated the newly constructed AYUSH Dispensary building at Khaloora in the D.H. Pora constituency of Kulgam district.

Director AYUSH Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Ajay Tikoo, District Nodal Officer AYUSH Kulgam Ab Rehman Rather, other officials of the AYUSH Department and a large number of local residents were present during the inauguration ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, Sakeena Itoo urged people to make full use of the healthcare services and facilities being provided through the AYUSH Department.

The Minister said the government is committed to ensuring basic amenities and essential services for people living in remote and far-flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

She highlighted the role of AYUSH in providing alternative healthcare services, creating health awareness and promoting preventive healthcare practices among the people.

Sakeena Itoo said the Omar Abdullah-led government is committed to strengthening healthcare, education and other essential public services across Jammu and Kashmir and is taking necessary measures to improve service delivery at the grassroots level.

The inauguration of the new dispensary is expected to improve access to AYUSH healthcare services for residents of Khaloora and adjoining areas.
