New Delhi, August 31, 2026: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi and signed the condolence book following the tragic flash floods that struck Nepal on August 26, 2026.
Singh conveyed his deepest condolences on behalf of the Government and people of India to the people of Nepal over the loss and devastation caused by the disaster.
Reaffirming India’s close friendship and partnership with Nepal, Singh said India stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Nepal as a true “Sukh Dukh Ke Saathi”.
He further assured that India remains committed to supporting Nepal in its ongoing search, rescue and rehabilitation efforts following the devastating flash floods.
