New Delhi, August 27, 2026: President Droupadi Murmu today met the trainee officers of the 2025 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), along with two diplomats from Bhutan who are currently undergoing induction training at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Addressing the trainee officers, the President congratulated them and said that they would have the honour and responsibility of representing India abroad, working in the national interest and strengthening India's relations with countries across the world.

President Murmu emphasised that their role would be crucial in advancing India's interests and deepening the country's engagement with the international community.

The meeting was held as part of the induction training programme for the newly recruited Indian Foreign Service officers and the Bhutanese diplomats.
