SHOPIAN, AUGUST 16: PDP workers and leaders staged a protest in Shopian against the National Conference-led government, alleging non-implementation of crop insurance schemes and demanding a waiver of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans.
The protesters raised slogans in support of farmers and urged the government to take immediate steps to address the financial difficulties being faced by the farming community.
They demanded that crop insurance benefits be implemented effectively and that KCC loans be waived to provide relief to farmers facing economic hardships.
The PDP leaders said the government must fulfil its commitments towards farmers and ensure timely support to the agricultural community.
