Samba, August 24, 2026: Mission Shakti, Social Welfare Department Samba, organised an awareness session at Jamkash Trucking Private Limited, Vijaypur, focusing on workplace safety, women’s rights and legal safeguards against sexual harassment at the workplace.

During the session, participants were sensitised about the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, its purpose and significance, and what constitutes sexual harassment at the workplace. The session also highlighted the rights and responsibilities of employees, along with the mechanisms available for reporting and redressal of complaints.

Special emphasis was laid on the SHe-Box Portal, with participants being informed about its purpose, importance and role in providing an accessible platform for reporting workplace sexual harassment. The employees were also briefed on the process of registering on the portal and filing a complaint.

The awareness programme aimed to empower employees, particularly women, with knowledge of their legal rights and available institutional mechanisms, while promoting a safe, respectful and harassment-free workplace environment.
