J&K Government Sanctions ₹15.20 Lakh Advance Grant-in-Aid for AYUSH Boards


Srinagar, August 22, 2026: The Health and Medical Education Department of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has sanctioned an advance withdrawal of ₹15.20 lakh in favour of the Director, AYUSH, J&K, for onward disbursement of Grant-in-Aid to the concerned AYUSH Boards for the financial year 2026-27.

The sanction has been issued under Government Order No. 642-JK(HME) of 2026 dated August 21, 2026, in terms of S.O. 157 of 2026 dated June 5, 2026.

According to the order, the sanctioned amount is to be utilized strictly for the purposes and under the relevant Detailed Heads for which the Grant-in-Aid has been approved.

The Director, AYUSH, J&K has been directed to ensure onward disbursement to the concerned Boards in accordance with applicable rules, guidelines and sanctioned provisions. The drawal and utilization of funds will remain subject to financial rules, codal formalities and instructions issued by the Finance Department and the Government from time to time.

The order further directs that proper accounts of the amount drawn and utilized be maintained and the required Utilization Certificate/Statement of Expenditure furnished within the prescribed period. Any unspent balance will have to be surrendered or refunded to the Government Treasury as per applicable rules.

The expenditure will be debitable to the relevant Detailed Heads under the Grant-in-Aid provisions of the Health and Medical Education Department for the financial year 2026-27, subject to availability of funds and prescribed budgetary controls.

The order has been issued by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department, on behalf of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
