Jammu, August 14: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has sanctioned the creation of 30 posts under various categories in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to provide supporting staff for two additional Permanent Judges.

The decision was approved through Government Order No. 10059-JK(LD) of 2026, dated August 11, 2026, following Council of Ministers Decision No. 84/10/2026 dated August 4, 2026.

According to the government order, the newly created posts include 2 Secretaries, 2 Bench Secretaries, 2 Readers, 2 Private Secretaries, 2 Senior Scale Stenographers, 2 Junior Scale Stenographers, 2 Computer Operators, 2 Restorers, 2 Staff Car Drivers, 2 Jamadars and 10 Orderlies.

The posts carry different pay levels ranging from Level-1 to Level-11, as specified in the government order.

The creation of these posts is subject to the condition that the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will amend the relevant Recruitment Rules accordingly.

The move is aimed at strengthening the supporting staff structure of the High Court in view of the appointment of two additional Permanent Judges.
