J&K CM Reviews Preparations for First International Film Festival

Srinagar, August 14: Commissioner/Secretary, Information Department, called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar today and briefed him on the preparations for the inaugural International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026, scheduled to be held in September.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of meticulous planning, effective coordination and seamless execution to ensure the successful conduct of the prestigious film festival.

The festival is expected to provide a major platform for showcasing cinematic talent, promoting Jammu & Kashmir as a destination for film and cultural activities, and strengthening the region’s engagement with the international film community.

The Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made well in advance for the smooth and successful conduct of IFFJK 2026.
