Srinagar, August 18: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo today inaugurated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratories in five Government schools under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of NTT DATA in collaboration with ELFA International.

The initiative aims to strengthen digital education infrastructure in Government schools and provide students with improved access to technology-enabled learning. The newly established ICT labs are equipped to support students in developing digital skills and enhance their learning experience through modern technological tools.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Srinagar Akshay Labroo appreciated NTT DATA and ELFA International for their CSR intervention and contribution towards strengthening the education sector. He emphasized the importance of digital literacy and technology-based learning in preparing students for emerging educational and employment opportunities.

The initiative is expected to benefit students and teachers by providing a dedicated platform for computer-based learning, digital resources and technology-enabled educational activities.

The District Administration Srinagar also appreciated the collaborative efforts of the participating organizations and expressed hope that similar initiatives would further expand digital learning opportunities in Government schools across the district.
