DC Kathua Reviews Progress Under HADP and JKCIP


Kathua, August 22, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma chaired a meeting to review the progress and implementation status of the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) and the Jammu and Kashmir Competitive Initiative Project (JKCIP) in the district.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the physical and financial progress of various projects, beneficiary coverage, implementation of approved interventions and timelines for completion.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure effective and timely implementation of all components under HADP and JKCIP, with special focus on delivering benefits to farmers and strengthening livelihood opportunities in the agriculture and allied sectors.

The DC also reviewed the functioning of units established under HADP and stressed the need for regular monitoring to ensure that these units remain operational and provide the intended benefits to beneficiaries.

Rajesh Sharma directed the officers to maintain close coordination, conduct regular field visits and promptly address implementation-related bottlenecks. He emphasised that coordinated efforts at the grassroots level are essential for achieving the objectives of HADP and JKCIP effectively.

The meeting was attended by CPO Kathua Ranjeet Thakur, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Sericulture Officer, Assistant Director Fisheries and other sectoral officers and stakeholders.
