Srinagar, August 15: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hoisted the National Flag at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.

The Chief Minister inspected the parade and took the salute during the Independence Day celebrations, which witnessed the participation of contingents from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, security forces and other departments.

The समारोह featured a display of patriotism and national spirit, with officials, students and citizens joining the celebrations. The event highlighted the significance of Independence Day and paid tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the nation’s martyrs.

The celebrations at Bakshi Stadium marked the main Independence Day event in Srinagar, with the Tricolour flying proudly as the country commemorated its 80th Independence Day.
