Siliguri, August 21: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Siliguri for a series of programmes focusing on border security and the implementation of India’s new criminal laws.

During his visit, Shah is expected to review key issues related to security along the country’s borders and interact with officials involved in border management.

The Union Home Minister will also participate in programmes highlighting the implementation of the new criminal laws, which aim to modernise India’s criminal justice system and strengthen the process of investigation and prosecution.

The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for discussions with senior officials and security agencies on strengthening coordination, addressing emerging security challenges and improving law-enforcement mechanisms.
