NEW DELHI, August 25, 2026: Union Home Minister and Minister of Co-operation Amit Shah inaugurated the 9th two-day National Security Strategies (NSS) Conference-2026 in New Delhi on Monday.

On the occasion, Shah paid homage at the Martyrs’ Column and laid a wreath in memory of Intelligence Bureau personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation and for safeguarding its security and integrity.

The first day of the conference witnessed detailed discussions on several critical aspects of national security, with senior officials and security experts deliberating on emerging challenges and strategic priorities.

The second day of the conference will focus on the evolving threat landscape posed by sub-aerial systems and the formulation of effective countermeasures. Discussions will also cover securing the blue economy, information warfare and its implications for national security, as well as the need to develop a comprehensive bio-security framework.

The conference is aimed at strengthening strategic preparedness, enhancing coordination among security agencies and addressing emerging threats to India’s national security.
