New Delhi: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah addressed the valedictory session of the Intelligence Bureau’s ‘National Security Strategies Conference’ in New Delhi, underlining the importance of robust internal security in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.

Amit Shah said that strong internal security is the first and foremost condition for building a developed India. He emphasised that if India aims to emerge as a global leader across every field, the country’s internal security mechanisms must be strengthened further.

The Union Home Minister highlighted the government’s efforts in tackling major internal security challenges. He said that the challenges posed by the country’s three internal-security hotspots have been brought to an end, crediting the achievement to the dedicated efforts of police forces across the states, central agencies and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Shah stressed the need for continued coordination, preparedness and strategic planning among security agencies to safeguard the nation and support India’s development journey.

The National Security Strategies Conference brought together senior officials and security stakeholders to deliberate on emerging security challenges and strategies for strengthening India’s internal security framework.
