DC Samba Inspects Samba–Goran Road Stretch, Directs Speedy Completion of Works Amid Monsoon



Samba, July 22: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, IAS, on Tuesday conducted an extensive inspection of the ongoing works on the Samba–Goran road stretch to review the pace of development and assess preparedness in view of the ongoing monsoon season.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of road construction and directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to expedite all pending works to ensure their timely completion. She stressed the need for strengthening safety measures and adopting all necessary precautions to facilitate safe, smooth and uninterrupted movement of commuters, especially during the monsoon.
Ms. Sudan instructed the executing agencies to maintain close coordination with all stakeholder departments, deploy adequate manpower and machinery at critical locations, and strictly adhere to prescribed quality standards and project timelines. She emphasized that any delays should be avoided and all preventive measures should be implemented to minimize inconvenience to the public.
Highlighting the importance of the road as a key connectivity link, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated that public safety and seamless transportation remain the district administration's top priorities. She directed officials to continuously monitor the progress of works and ensure that all deficiencies are addressed without delay.
The District Administration Samba reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening road infrastructure, improving connectivity, and ensuring the safety and convenience of residents and commuters, particularly during the ongoing monsoon season.
