Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Visits Ancient Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir in Kishtwar



Kishtwar, June 6: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, visited the historic Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir at Sarkoot in Kishtwar on Friday and offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with public representatives and local residents and took note of their concerns. Responding to a key public demand, he directed the District Administration to take appropriate steps for the rejuvenation and restoration of the pond adjoining the temple, aiming to preserve the religious and cultural significance of the site.
The visit was attended by Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly, Shagun Parihar, Member of Legislative Assembly from Kishtwar, along with Shri Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, and other senior district officials.
The Lieutenant Governor's visit highlights the administration's commitment to preserving heritage sites while addressing the developmental needs of local communities.
