Jammu, June 9: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Jammu Rural Police organized a Thana Diwas programme at Police Station Domana to strengthen police-public cooperation and raise awareness against drug abuse.
The programme was attended by SP Rural Jammu Ravinder Singh, SDPO Domana, SHO Domana, SDM North, BDO Balwal, police officers, and around 40–50 prominent residents of the area. Participants actively took part in discussions aimed at creating a drug-free society.
During the event, officials highlighted the harmful effects of drug addiction and stressed the importance of collective efforts to eliminate the drug menace from society. Citizens were urged to support law enforcement agencies by sharing information about drug-related activities and other unlawful acts to enable timely action.
Special emphasis was placed on community participation, with attendees encouraged to spread awareness among youth and motivate them to stay away from narcotic substances. The gathering was also informed about the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112), which provides immediate police, fire, and medical assistance during emergencies.
The programme concluded with an interactive session where residents shared their concerns, suggestions, and feedback. Jammu Rural Police reiterated its commitment to strengthening police-public relations and ensuring a safe, secure, and drug-free environment through active community engagement.
