Ramnagar, June 12: Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Udhampur Police arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered charas from his possession in the Ramnagar area.
According to police, a patrol team from Police Station Ramnagar intercepted a suspect near Radha Swami Satsang Hall on the Dalsar–Ramnagar Road during routine checking. The accused was identified as Krishan Lal, son of Badri Nath.
During a personal search, police recovered 32 grams of charas from his possession. The accused was immediately taken into custody, and the contraband was seized on the spot.
Police have registered FIR No. 92/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Ramnagar. Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the source and intended destination of the narcotic substance.
Udhampur Police reiterated its commitment to eliminating the drug menace and urged citizens to support the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan by reporting any information related to narcotics trafficking.
