Kupwara | June 24, 2026: In a major initiative to promote employment and career opportunities for the youth, the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC), Kupwara, under the Directorate of Employment, Department of Labour & Employment, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, will organize a Mega Job Fair on June 30, 2026, at the District Employment and Counselling Centre (MCC), Kupwara.
The Job Fair will commence at 10:00 AM and is being organized under the National Career Service (NCS) and Mission YUVA initiatives. The programme aims to connect aspiring job seekers with leading employers while creating awareness about career prospects, skill development, and self-employment opportunities.
According to the official notification, more than 10 reputed companies from different sectors will participate in the recruitment drive, offering over 1,000 job vacancies for eligible candidates. The event is expected to provide a valuable platform for unemployed youth to secure employment through direct interaction with recruiters.
In addition to recruitment, the Job Fair will feature on-the-spot interviews and placements, registration on the Employment Portal, career counselling sessions, awareness programmes on various self-employment schemes, and a dedicated Mission YUVA Help Desk to guide participants about government initiatives for entrepreneurship and livelihood generation.
Candidates who have passed Class 10 or above are eligible to participate. Applicants have been advised to carry at least two copies of their updated resume/CV while attending the event. Interested candidates can also register online through the official registration link or QR code provided in the event notification.
The Department of Labour & Employment has urged eligible youth from Kupwara and neighbouring districts to take full advantage of this opportunity to explore employment options, interact with recruiters, and build a successful career.
The Job Fair is part of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir's ongoing efforts under Mission YUVA to empower young people through employment, skill development, career guidance, and entrepreneurship, contributing to sustainable livelihood generation across the Union Territory.
