Srinagar, June 9: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer and posting of senior JKAS officer Asgar Hussain as Special Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister with immediate effect.

According to Government Order No. 1058-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated June 9, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Asgar Hussain, who was awaiting adjustment orders in the department, has now been assigned the new responsibility in the interest of administration.

The order was issued by the General Administration Department and approved by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The appointment takes effect immediately.

The move is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and ensure the smooth functioning of the Chief Minister’s office.
