Udhampur, May 2:
Continuing its strict crackdown under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Udhampur Police has attached immovable property worth approximately ₹40 lakhs belonging to a drug peddler from Jammu.
The accused has been identified as Rafiq Ahmed, son of Abdul Karim, a resident of Haji Basti, Sainik Colony, Jammu.
According to official sources, the property attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 49/2026 registered at Police Station Rehambal under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act.
During the course of investigation, it was revealed that the accused had acquired a residential house using proceeds generated from illegal narcotics trade. Acting on this evidence, the police seized the property as part of ongoing legal proceedings.
Udhampur Police reiterated its firm commitment to eliminating drug trafficking in the region and emphasized continued efforts to protect the youth from the dangers of substance abuse through both enforcement and awareness campaigns.
