The accused has been identified as Rafiq S/O Bansi, a resident of Ward No. 1 near Police Station Chenani and presently residing at Jojrian Talab, Udhampur. Acting on a detention warrant issued under the PIT NDPS Act, Udhampur Police executed the warrant following due legal procedures.

After detention, the accused was lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.

Udhampur Police reiterated its strong commitment towards making society drug-free under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan and warned that strict action will continue against drug peddlers and those involved in narcotics trafficking.
