Cluster University Srinagar Invites Applications for Assistant Professors, Teaching Assistants on Contract Basis

Cluster University of Srinagar has issued Advertisement Notification No. 04 CUS of 2026 dated May 12, 2026, inviting online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Assistant Professors/Teaching Assistants for the academic session 2026-27 on a contractual basis.

According to the notification, the appointments will be made for postgraduate and integrated courses in various Schools of the University including Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities & Liberal Arts, Commerce & Management, and Education.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess at least 55% marks at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from a recognized university. Relaxation of 5% marks will be provided to reserved category candidates as per UGC norms.

The notification further states that candidates having NET/SLET/SET qualification or Ph.D. degrees in accordance with UGC regulations will be eligible for consideration. In disciplines where NET/SLET/SET has not been conducted, candidates may also apply without these qualifications.

Last date for submission of hard copies: May 31, 2026

Application processing fee: Rs 100

Applicants are required to submit self-attested copies of academic certificates, NET/SET/Ph.D. documents, experience certificates, and other relevant testimonials along with the hard copy of the application form.

Selection Procedure

The university stated that candidates will be shortlisted strictly as per UGC guidelines on the basis of academic merit, research publications, teaching experience, NET/JRF qualifications, and awards. Final selection shall be based on interview performance.

Engagement Period

The contractual engagement will remain valid till the end of the academic session 2026-27, or till regular vacancies are filled, whichever is earlier.
