SSP Samba Reviews Security at Mansar, Interacts with VDGs and Police Personnel

Samba, April 19, 2026: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Anuj Kumar, conducted a comprehensive inspection of security arrangements at the prominent tourist destination Mansar Lake to ensure the safety of visiting tourists and maintain public order.

During the visit, the SSP carried out a detailed review of security measures in and around the Mansar area. Special focus was laid on strengthening surveillance systems, deployment strategies, and access control points to maintain a strong and effective security grid.

The officer also visited the Police Post Mansar, where the overall functioning of the post was assessed. Directions were issued to maintain high alertness, ensure prompt response to any incidents, and enhance the effectiveness of the Mansar Police Naka. Emphasis was also placed on strict surveillance and efficient public service delivery.

In addition, SSP Samba held an interactive meeting with members of the Village Defence Guards (VDGs). He appreciated their role in supporting police at the grassroots level and encouraged them to remain vigilant and proactive. The importance of close coordination between VDGs and local police units was strongly reiterated.

Later, the SSP visited the Nud Naka and interacted with deployed police personnel. The staff were instructed to maintain strict checking procedures, ensure smooth traffic movement, and uphold courteous behavior while dealing with the public.
This visit highlights the commitment of Samba Police to strengthening security across the district, particularly at key tourist locations like Mansar, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both locals and visitors.
