Jammu & Kashmir: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday handed over an appointment letter to Smt. Alka Sharma, the wife of martyr Sub-Inspector Deepak Sharma, under the J&K Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme 2022.

The Lieutenant Governor expressed deep respect for the supreme sacrifice made by the brave police officer and assured the bereaved family of full support and assistance from the administration.

Sub-Inspector Deepak Sharma, a courageous officer of the J&K Police, laid down his life in the line of duty in 2024 while bravely confronting and neutralizing a most-wanted gangster in Kathua district. His sacrifice stands as a symbol of dedication, courage, and service to the nation.

The administration reiterated its commitment to stand firmly with the families of martyrs and ensure their welfare and dignity.
