Jammu Rural Police Intensifies Anti-Drug Campaign Under 100-Day Nasha Mukt Abhiyan

Jammu | April 21, 2026
In a continued push against drug abuse, the Jammu (Rural) Police have intensified their outreach efforts under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, conducting a series of awareness programmes, rallies, and enforcement drives across multiple areas.
At BPP Mallah Bharore, an awareness programme was organized at High School Mallah. The event witnessed active participation from the Chowki Officer, Ex-Sarpanch, senior citizens, school staff, and students. A pledge against drug abuse was administered, reinforcing the commitment of the community toward a drug-free environment.
Meanwhile, at PS Jhajjar Kotli, a large awareness rally was carried out from GHSS Jhajjar Kotli to Dhami. Around 150 participants, including students, staff, and local residents, joined the rally, raising slogans and spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction.
Another impactful awareness session was held at HSS Dream India, Kathar Manwal, where approximately 200 students participated. They were sensitized about the dangers of substance abuse and encouraged to report any suspicious activities related to drugs.
On the enforcement front, a drive was conducted at ICPP Chinore in coordination with the Executive Magistrate (Naib Tehsildar) Mishriwala. The operation ensured the closure of shops selling tobacco and similar intoxicants near MIET College, reinforcing strict action against violations.
These coordinated initiatives reflect the Jammu (Rural) Police’s sustained commitment to combating drug abuse through awareness, community involvement, and strict enforcement measures, aiming to build a safer and drug-free society.
