Jammu, April 23, 2026:

The Police Headquarters (PHQ) Jammu & Kashmir has sanctioned financial assistance in favour of the Next of Kin (NoKs) of martyred police personnel under the J&K Police Parivar Fund. The relief has been granted as part of ongoing welfare measures to support the families of those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

According to an official order (Order No. 138 of 2026), a total amount of ₹57,000 has been approved for five beneficiaries across different districts. The financial aid is aimed at addressing medical needs and financial hardships faced by the families.

Beneficiaries and Assistance Details:

Rifat Jan (Anantnag) – ₹15,000 for self-treatment

Fatima Begum (Baramulla) – ₹12,000 for self-treatment

Naseema Akhter (Kulgam) – ₹20,000 for financial distress

Raja Begum (Baramulla) – ₹5,000 for self-treatment

Shameema Begum (Ganderbal) – ₹5,000 for self-treatment

The order states that the assistance has been approved by the competent authority and reflects the department’s continued commitment to the welfare of martyrs’ families.
