Srinagar, April 02, 2026: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has officially constituted a divisional-level departmental committee to examine cases of land donors under the provisions of SRO 520 of 2017.
According to Order No. 125-DSEK of 2026 dated April 02, 2026, the committee has been established to review claims of individuals who donated land to the School Education Department and are now seeking engagement or compensation as per the policy guidelines.
The committee comprises senior officials including the Joint Director (SED) from various divisions (Central/North/South), Additional Secretary Legal, Personnel Officer, Chief Accounts Officer, Deputy Director (Estates & Statistics) as Member Secretary, and the concerned Chief Education Officer.
As per the order, all cases will first be processed by the Planning Section before being presented to the committee for detailed examination. After thorough scrutiny, the finalized cases will be forwarded to the Administrative Department for further action.
This initiative is expected to streamline the process of addressing long-pending claims of land donors and ensure fair consideration in accordance with government norms.
