The meeting was attended by the District Nodal Officer (LPG), all Tehsil Supply Officers, and representatives of gas agencies operating in the district.
At the outset, Assistant Director FCS&CA Samba, Rahul Gupta, presented a detailed status report on the ongoing e-KYC drive. He highlighted the progress achieved so far, identified gaps, and outlined key areas requiring immediate attention. Officials informed that continuous efforts are being made to bring all eligible LPG consumers under the e-KYC framework.
During the meeting, discussions focused on accelerating the e-KYC process to enhance transparency, eliminate duplication, and strengthen accountability in LPG distribution.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers and gas agency dealers to ensure time-bound completion of e-KYC, with special attention to pending and left-out beneficiaries.
Stressing coordinated efforts, she underlined the importance of achieving 100% e-KYC coverage within the stipulated timeline. She also instructed officials to maintain updated and accurate records and to submit regular progress reports for effective monitoring.
Issuing a stern warning, the Deputy Commissioner stated that no instances of hoarding, black marketing, diversion, or misuse of LPG cylinders will be tolerated. She cautioned that any violations will attract strict action under provisions of the Essential Commodities Act.
The meeting also emphasized strengthening field-level outreach and awareness to facilitate beneficiaries in completing their e-KYC without inconvenience.
Officials were directed to adopt a proactive approach to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the process.
