In a continued effort to curb drug trafficking, Udhampur Police apprehended a drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of 560 Pregabalin capsules during routine checking.

According to officials, a police team from Police Station Udhampur was conducting routine naka checking near the Head Post Office, Udhampur, when they intercepted a suspicious individual. Upon checking, the police recovered the capsules from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Ravinder Kumar, son of Tara Chand, a resident of Sayal Sallan, Udhampur. He was apprehended on the spot, and the recovered psychotropic substances were seized.

The matter has been reported to the Assistant Controller Drugs, Udhampur, for further legal action as per the law.

Udhampur Police reiterated its commitment to making the district drug-free and urged the public to cooperate by providing information related to drug abuse and illegal trafficking.
