Three Inter-District Drug Peddlers Arrested with Heroin at Tikri by Udhampur Police

In a major action against drug trafficking, Udhampur Police arrested three inter-district hardcore drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession during a routine naka checking at Tikri.
According to police officials, a team from Police Post Tikri was conducting routine naka checking at Tikri Naka Point when they intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK11G-9286 travelling from Jammu towards Udhampur.

During the checking, three persons were found travelling in the vehicle. Upon questioning, the driver identified himself as Rafiq Ahmed, son of Abdul Karim, resident of Sainik Colony. The co-passengers revealed their identities as Arun Singh, son of Prakash Singh, resident of Sainik Colony, and Amandeep Singh, son of Swarn Singh, resident of Chowadhi.
During their personal search, police recovered 15.51 grams of heroin from their possession.

All three accused were arrested on the spot, and the recovered narcotics were seized as evidence.

In this connection, FIR No. 49/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.

Police officials stated that further investigation into the case is underway to identify possible links in the drug trafficking network.

The action highlights the continuous efforts of Udhampur Police to curb drug smuggling and maintain law and order in the region.
