Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss the serious situation developing in the Middle East.
In a statement shared on social media, the Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the region. He also conveyed worry about the loss of civilian lives and damage to civilian infrastructure caused by the ongoing conflict.
Modi emphasized that the safety and security of Indian nationals remain a top priority for the Government of India. He also stressed the importance of ensuring the uninterrupted movement of goods and energy supplies through international routes.
The Prime Minister reiterated India’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region and called for dialogue and diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis.
The conversation comes amid growing global concerns over rising tensions in the Middle East, with several countries urging restraint and peaceful negotiations.
