Over 600 Vacancies Offered at Job Fair Organized by District Employment & Counselling Centre, Samba



Samba | March 14, 2026:
A Job Fair was successfully organized by the District Employment & Counselling Centre, Samba with the objective of providing employment opportunities to job seekers from across the district.
A total of 24 companies participated in the job fair, collectively offering more than 600 job vacancies across multiple sectors. The participating companies included Cadila Pharmaceutical Ltd, Saraswati Agro Chemicals (India) Pvt. Ltd, Jai Beverages Pvt. Ltd, VKC Nuts Pvt. Ltd, Abinza Pharma Pvt. Ltd, Astrofine Pharma Pvt. Ltd, Zeiss Pharma Ltd, along with several other recruiters.

These companies offered employment opportunities in various sectors such as industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, security, sales, and other related fields.
The job fair witnessed enthusiastic participation from the youth, with over 600 job seekers attending the event to explore employment opportunities and interact directly with company representatives.
During the recruitment process, 150 candidates were shortlisted, while 20 candidates were selected on the spot by different companies.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ramgarh Constituency, Devender Kumar Manyal, encouraged the youth to actively participate in such employment initiatives and make full use of the opportunities offered by participating companies. He highlighted that job fairs provide a valuable platform for unemployed youth to interact directly with recruiters, demonstrate their skills, and secure suitable employment.

During the event, Assistant Director Employment Samba, Naresh Kumar, advised the youth to register on the Mission YUVA portal (www.missionyuva.jk.gov.in) to avail various government schemes and incentives designed for the welfare of unemployed youth.
The job fair proved to be a significant step toward connecting local youth with potential employers and promoting employment opportunities in the Samba district.
