The inaugurated works include macadamisation of the road from the main road to the Shamshan Ghat, constructed at an estimated cost of ₹10 lakh. In addition, a protection wall along the Shamshan Ghat road has been built at a cost of around ₹13 lakh to ensure safety and prevent soil erosion.
Another key facility inaugurated was the construction of bathrooms along with a water tank at the Shamshan Ghat, completed at an estimated cost of ₹3 lakh. These works were long-pending demands of the residents of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Baldev Raj Sharma emphasized the importance of improving basic infrastructure in rural areas and ensuring that essential facilities reach every village.
Local residents of village Moori and Panchayat Dhirti expressed gratitude to the MLA for addressing their long-standing demands. They said the newly completed projects will improve connectivity, sanitation facilities, and overall infrastructure in the region.
The villagers welcomed the development initiatives and hoped for more such projects in the future to further strengthen rural infrastructure in Reasi district.
