In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, Jammu (Rural) Police achieved significant success by arresting three drug peddlers in the Domana area and recovering heroin-like contraband from their possession.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a police team from Police Station Domana, led by the SHO Domana, carried out a swift operation at Muthi, Domana. During the operation, three accused individuals were apprehended:

Mohit Sharma, resident of Dream City, Muthi, Jammu

Ankit Mahajan, resident of Choudhary Lane, Roop Nagar, Jammu

Ankit Bhat, resident of Roop Nagar, Jammu

During the search, police recovered 7.21 grams of heroin-like substance along with an electronic weighing machine, indicating involvement in drug distribution activities. All seized materials were secured and sealed on the spot as per legal procedures.

Additionally, a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CU-7166, allegedly used in the commission of the crime, was also seized by the police.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 70/2026 at Police Station Domana under relevant sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act. The accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is currently underway.
