Srinagar, March 27, 2026:

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has officially issued a notification announcing the schedule for submission of Inter-School Migration applications for the academic session (October–November) 2026.

The notification applies to students of the Kashmir Division, including District Kargil (UT of Ladakh) who are currently enrolled in Classes 10th and 12th and wish to migrate from one recognized school to another.

Application Schedule

As per JKBOSE, the online application process will be available on the official website and must be completed within the specified timeline:

Without late fee (₹430): March 28, 2026 to April 28, 2026

With late fee ₹80: April 29, 2026 to May 8, 2026

With late fee ₹90: May 9, 2026 to May 18, 2026

With late fee ₹1055: May 19, 2026 to May 26, 2026

Key Guidelines

The Board has issued important instructions for applicants:

Applications will be accepted only through online mode

No applications will be entertained after the final deadline

Physical verification of documents will begin from March 30, 2026

Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected

The application fee is non-refundable

Migration approval will be granted only after proper verification

Additionally, JKBOSE clarified that a separate notification will be issued regarding eligibility for students migrating from CBSE and other recognized boards.

Officials emphasized that students and schools must strictly follow the timeline to avoid any inconvenience.
